How to Recreate Outlook Email Profile in Microsoft Outlook 2003
If you Email Outlook program keep causing you problems, it might be your Outlook profile is corrupted. You can do Detect and Repair from the Outlook’s Help menu to see if it can fix the problem. Otherwise, you need to recreate your Outlook profile. Before you continue to create a new Outlook profile, you need to write down or take screenshots of your original Outlook settings because they will be gone. The settings can be the View, Shared Calendars, Signature and Archives.
You will also need to find out the Exchange Server settings:
From Outlook’s Tool menu, go to Options
Click ok, Mail Setup, and click on E-Mail Accounts
Select View or change existing e-mail accounts
Highlight the server name and click on Change
Write down the Microsoft Exchange Server name or other email provider server name.
Now you can recreate the Outlook profile with these steps:
From Start menu, go to Settings, and Control Panel, click on Mail icon. A Mail Setup window comes up.
Click on Show Profiles, you will see your Outlook email profile from here, and click the Remove button to delete the profile.
In this same window you also see the “Add” button which will lead you to add a new profile, click on it and enter a name for your new profile.
Then follow the on screen questions to configure the Exchange Server and username etc to finish setting up a new Outlook Profile.
